Schauspielhaus Wien

A benefit project.

Airan Berg (Austria) and Barrie Kosky (Australia) took over the artistic direction of the Schauspielhaus at the beginning of March 2001. The aim of their concept "invitation to a dialogue" is to transpose and intensify a discursive communication at an international level between authors, creative artists and people involved in culture on all levels, and of course, the audience.

Console++ accompanies the Schauspielhaus since the very beginning and produced 3 major redesigns. Creating the Website was challenging: The target audience ranges from students to retired persons, with all possible cultures and social backgrounds. The design is very close to their print CI (by JvM, Donau) and provides detailed information on their multifaceted productions.

The Website was initially programmed with Coma v2.5.x within several weeks and is WAI-AAA compilant. In February 2004 the site has been upgraded to Coma v4.0 and got fully translated into English (release to be expected in some days).
